Newtowncashel's Celebrity Bainisteoir, model Rozanna Purcell, will be back in the parish this Thursday evening the 2nd to take charge of the Senior Football team for the second training session of the series. The parish welcomes her back and we expect a good crowd to be there to cheer her and the team on.

The Annual Parish Barbeque takes place this Bank Holiday Sunday, the 5th of August, at 5p.m. at the Quarry Park once again.  This event was a great success last year, and should be even much better this year.  Going to press, we are hoping that our current Celebrity Bainisteoir, Rozanna Purcell will be able to make an appearance on the night. There will be entertainment for all ages and live music will be supplied by 'Acting the Maggot'.  General Admission is €10.00, Students €5.00 and Children Under -12 are admitted for free. There will be a raffle on the night for numerous prizes and there will also be a children's play area. So do please come along, for what should be a great evening out for everyone.
