CHILDREN’S REFERENDUM THIS SATURDAY
Voting on the Children’s Referendum takes place on Saturday November 10th. Polling stations will be open from 9.00am until 10.00pm. All should exercise their right to vote.
We extend our sincere sympathy to the family, friends and neighbours of John Fayne, Cullentra, on his untimely death on Thursday November 1st. May he rest in peace.

NEWTOWNCASHEL DRAMA GROUP
Our producer is currently reading plays and all will be revealed to the group at a meeting on Thursday 8th November at 8:30pm in The Hill, Newtown Cashel, when we will be casting for and reading the new play. Anyone who wishes to act or help in any way, please join us, we would love to have you. Come along to the meeting and share with us in this great tradition of amateur drama.
The monthly Tidy Towns meeting will be held in "The Hill" on Wednesday November 7th at 8.00pm. Members are asked to not the earlier time.
ANNUAL REGIONAL PIONEER DINNER DANCE
The Annual Regional Pioneer Dinner Dance takes place in The Rustic Inn, Abbeyshrule, on Friday November 9th. Music by the J & S Sound. Dinner at 9.00pm, sharp. Tickets, at €25.00 each are now available from Committee members.

DOODLE 4 GOOGLE
Longford kids called to ‘Doodle 4 Google’ -
This year, Google is hoping to inspire the next generation of great Irish inventors with the theme “My Invention”. The winning doodle will be seen by millions of Internet users when it appears on the Google Ireland homepage Google.ie for a day in April 2013.
The winning student will receive a scholarship of €5,000 to go towards their college studies, while the winning teacher and student will also receive a Chromebook laptop each and their school will receive a €10,000 technology grant. the deadline for entries is December 10th 2012. There was a very promising meeting last Friday night and it was decided to invite teenagers to a further meeting in "The Hill" on Wednesday November 14th at 8.00pm. All teenagers are urged to attend.
