A GREAT WIN FOR ROZ AND THE CASHEL TEAM!
Sunday September 2nd saw an incredible day for Cashel GAA and indeed the parish of Cashel as a whole. The local Senior Football Team beat Ballinora, from Cork, in Páirc Ciarán in the first round of RTÉ’s Celebrity Bainisteoir, with a scoreline of 1-13 to 1-9.
This was a tremendous performance by the lads and we look forward in eager anticipation to the next round which, going to press, should be on the Saturday of the All-Ireland Senior Football Final weekend!  Great credit is due to our Celebrity Bainisteoir Roz Purcell, who steered the lads to success!
Thanks to everyone involved in making the day what it was, whether by stewarding, cooking food, making tea, extending hospitality, etc.  Thanks also to Tidy Towns and GAA for the great clean up during the week in preparation for the big day on Sunday, and to Sean Mulvihill and the FAS Staff for the rebuilding of the damaged wall in the village.
