Hard luck to the Cashel team who very narrowly lost out to Granard in the County Intermediate Final on Sunday. There was never more than a point or two between the teams in a game fought hard to the final whistle when unfortunately it was Granard who were a single point up. The full time score was Granard 0-
The Intermediate Championship might be over but there’s still the small matter of the Celebrity Bainisteoir Final to be played! Celebrity Bainisteoir training continues and fundraising ideas are flooding in on the Bainisteoir Facebook page, so stay tuned for details!!
The Final will be played in Parnell Park, Dublin, on the evening of Friday October 26th. The team are staying in Bewley’s Airport Hotel on the Friday night and room rates are €69 for a double room, or €89 for a family room, B&B. Do tell them that you are a Cashel supporter to avail of this special rate. Book early as it is on the October Bank Holiday Weekend and rooms might not be available closer to the match weekend. Buses are also being organised and seats are available for €10 travelling up and back on Friday, or €15 to travel up on Friday and back on Saturday. Contact any committee member to book.
The Annual General Meeting of Newtowncashel Tidy Towns will be held in 'The Hill' on Wednesday, the 3rd of October, at 8.30 p.m. The A.G.M. will wrap up a very successful year and plan for the next twelve months. All members are urged to attend. New members are welcome!

A kettlebells Class will be held in 'The Hill' this Wednesday the 3rd of October at 8.00pm. Participants should bring a kettlebell of the appropriate weight. The cost is €25.00 for five weeks. Circuits Class in "The Hill" continue on Monday nights at 7pm and 8pm. If you’ve missed any so far you can still join in. You can pay weekly at €8 Euros per session. Newtowncashel Community Games would like to remind people that their AGM will be held on Tuesday October 16th at 9.00pm in the GAA Clubhouse. This is a very important meeting as the current Committee are not prepared to continue with the lack of support in organizing and mentoring different sports. New people are urgently needed as there is no future for the Games in Newtowncashel otherwise.
