The Newtowncashel Playground Committee are holding a fundraising Table Quiz in The Peer Inn. Lisnacusha,
on Friday night the 23rd of January ,starting at 9.00 p.m. Tables of four are €40.00.
There will be a Raffle on the night. Refreshments will be served. Hope to see you there, for such a worthwhile cause.

Newtowncashel Community games are going to hold a Monster Auction, Cake Sale and Raffle as a fundraiser around Easter time.
More details to follow regarding final date and also information for anyone wishing to donate items etc.
The Community Games Committee wishes to express their sincerest sympathy to Christy Hopkins on the death of his mother last week.

Cashel G.A.A. Club has a vacancy for a FÁS/Tús Worker at Páirc Ciarán.Anyone who is interested and also eligible to apply,is asked to contact Anthony Melia at 043 33 25036,or Jack Bannon at 086 0319071.

The death occured on Tuesday the 13th of January last of Anna May Hopkins,Newpark.Anna was a true lady in every sense of the word and always had a friendly word and smile for everyone that she met.Her death came as a great shock to the parish of Newtowncashel and her passing will leave a great void in the lives of all that knew her.To her daughters Mary and Annie,sons Christy and Seán and all her many relatives and friends,we offer our deepest sympathy in this time of great loss.May her Soul Rest in Peace.

At the recent AGM of the Tidy Towns a minute silence was observed for our late President Ciaran Eustace who devoted himself to the welfare of the village down through the years. Sympathy was also offered to Catherine Gallagher on the death of Mary Quigley (nee Moughty).

A Meeting will take place in the G.A.A. Clubhouse this Wednesday night the 21st of January at 8.30 p.m. This meeting is for all Underage Cashel Coaches only,and a full attendance is required to plan for the year ahead.

The Spring Station Masses will be celebrated from the 2nd to the 27th of February.Householders who are to hold the Stations,may arrange dates when convenient,if they have not already done so.
