Newtowncashel Drama Group presents 'The Field' by John .B.Keane for one final performance on Friday the 11th of March at 8.30 p.m.
Doors open at 8 p.m.
Tickets for this performance are sold out.

The Walking Group continues on Saturday mornings leaving The Hill at 10.00 a.m. All are welcome.

The monthly meeting of the Tidy Towns takes place Monday the 14th of March at 8:30 pm.

There will be a meeting in The Hill ,regarding the Derryadd Wind Farm on the 15th of March.All are welcome.

St.Mary's National School is seeking a person to supply caretaking services at the school from April the 1st next,Duties include,grasscutting,sweeping and general maintenance around the school.Must supply their own mower/tractor and equipment.Applications in writing to the Chairperson B.O.M. St Mary's National School ,Newtowncashel on or before 3p.m. on March the 14th.

We would like to wish Ciara Healy and Áine Bannon the very best of luck when they play in the All Ireland U-16 Final with their school,Mercy Secondary School,Ballymahon on Saturday the 12th of March. They play Rathmore from Kerry,venue to be confirmed.The very best of luck to them.

A launch evening for the Midland Motorclub Moto Stages Rally takes place in the Longford Arms Hotel on Thursday 10th March at 8pm.  All welcome.

The Dept. of Environment have informed Newtowncashel Tidy Towns that because they were once winners of the National Award that they have been chosen to receive seven oak trees to commemorate the seven signatories of the Irish Proclamation.
The only condition is that this site must be in Public Ownership, or a piece of private ground that can be transferred to Public Ownership.
An information plaque will be erected on the site.

Cairde Beag enrolment is now open for September 2016 and with the introduction of the second free preschool year, meaning a child can avail of free preschool from the age of 3 years, places are very limited.  If your child was born between 1st January 2012 and 31st August 2013 then your child is eligible for free preschool in September.  I have 2 spaces left so if you or someone that you know has a child who is eligible but has not already booked them in then please contact me as soon as possible on 0863175753.
